2 days left...

Only two days left until Christmas. Really, only one for my family. Santa always came to see me Christmas Eve night and my son also. We knew he had to start somewhere, and we were special so he started with us. We always went to my Grandma's house on Christmas Eve,and he came while we were gone.
We will be closed tomorrow and Christmas Day, but we will be open on Friday and Saturday. Basic Grey's new Bittersweet paper packs, buttons, and rub-ons came today. Also the Basic Grey Valentine Card kits. Morgan and Company came right before closing time.Thanks to all our customers for making 2008 such a great year! Hope to see soon!

Almost here. . .

The big day is almost here. I finished my grocery shopping at Wally World today and stood in line to check out for 35 minutes. I should have known better, but some things can't be bought weeks in advance.
Don't forget we are closed on Christmas Eve, so come in and get your gift certificates tomorrow.
Notions will be here the beginning of next week, and we are still waiting on the new Basic Grey.
My internet has been out, but thankfully I got it fixed today, so I'm back on the new computer enjoying all the blogs I read daily.

I was so good.. .

I gave myself a new computer for Christmas this year,and since I was so good- I got it early! What fun!

Just a cheap plug for our monthly card and recipe classes. These are ready to go every month, complete with color directions and everything cut out for you. You can get 5 cards and envelopes or 4 recipes for just 12.00! We need to know in advance since we only make kits for those registered!

The countdown is on for the holidays! I have one more gift to buy, and I know what I'm buying. Just have to pick it up this weekend at Lowe's (for my dad)! Happy Holidays!

Thursday news . . .

Good day today despite the cooold weather! Notions came in. . . Swell Noel paper, rub-ons, die-cut snowflakes, chipboard pieces, and more from K & Co., Chipboard stickers from Basic Grey's Wassail Christmas line, and lots more. Morgan and company came today also. I will place two more Morgan and Company orders before Christmas - one tomorrow and one on Dec. 12.

Busy Week. . .

Boy, it's been a busy week . . . Lots of turkeys. Thanks to all of you who shopped with us this Thanksgiving week. The Quickutz sale was a huge success. We sure hope they do it again. We have one Sophisticate alphabet left and a few Revolution dies. We have three Revolution machines left, and they are still 50.00! These are the last ones we can get.
We are waiting for orders from Morgan Company, Prima, and Notions. We will be ordering the
new Basic Grey next week.
The Morgan Company website says they will accept Christmas orders until Dec. 18, but, to be on the safe side, I would like to place all Christmas orders by Dec. 12. Thanks!

More new stuff coming. . .

Hi, all! Yesterday I ordered from Stampin' Station (custom school stuff) and added to our order paper for Pisgah High School and albums for Jacksonville State University. Also ordered from Morgan Company, and we just about have enough orders from yesterday to order again. I ordered more wire for the Bind-it-all from Product Performers and extra Halloween books. Hope to order from Heart of Texas (custom word books) in the next few days.
Watch for news here regarding specials at our store during Rainsville's Holiday Open House on Friday and Saturday of next week. Also be on the lookout for Quickutz specials on Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving) and Saturday.

It's over. . .

Our anniversary sale is over now , and we just want to thank all of you who made it such a success! We sold all of our Revolution machines for that great price! We will be getting two shipments from Quickutz this week. On Monday, we are scheduled to get a couple of the platforms, and Wednesday should bring us several of the Christmas gift sets. Their new dies will be out soon, and they are soooo cute! We are also getting a new Christmas mini album kit from Teresa Collins called "Tis the Season." It will be great to make ahead of time so that you can take "just the right" photos. We still have a couple of the Basic Grey Calendars and Christmas cards kits left! Got good news from my nuclear stress test today - no blockage!
Those of you needing page refills for your Maude Asbury or Collected Memories albums - they came in today. I called a couple of people who had asked me about them. If you are unsure of the brand of your album, the Maude Asbury albums are the ones with the pretty ribbon down the front.

another week, more doctors' appointments

Another week is almost here, and more doc appointments . . . My nuclear stress test was postponed last week until next Monday. Why? I forgot that I was not supposed to take my blood pressure meds, so they wouldn't do it Thursday. Soooo, another trip to Huntsville. This week's agenda includes Monday's stress test for me, Thursday's trip with Gary to the opt. to redo something about his cataract surgery, and Friday's trip with Mom & Dad to remove a skin cancer on Dad's lower eyelid. I really shouldn't be complaining as long as the docs are able to take care of our problems!
Janet and Jill put together one of the Basic Grey Christmas card kits today! Gorgeous! Get one while they last - 8 beautiful Christmas cards and envelopes for only 15.99. Can't beat that!

Day off!

Didn't have to work today, instead went with Gary to get his root canal! Sound like fun? Actually, it wasn't so bad (wasn't my root canal!). He said it wasn't that bad for him either. Tomorrow is my other day off this week! What are we doing? He's going with me to have a nuclear stress test! Boy, do we know how to have a good time, or what?

The Basic Grey is here and is as beautiful "in person" as I thought it would be. I decided that instead of having Christmas card classes I would just order their card kits. So they are here, and you get 8 cards and envelopes for $15.00. The kits are so easy and so gorgeous. Stop by and get yours while supplies last.
This Friday night is Free Crop night. Call as soon as you can to register. We make the decision at 2:00 on Friday. If we don't have at least three, we have to cancel it.

Morgan and company came today! Beautiful stuff as always. Monday we are getting a Notions backorder. It has paper packs of Alpine Frost (SEI) and Oh, Joy (Cosmo Cricket)! They have both been backordered awhile. You'll love them!! Also the long awaited Basic Grey Christmas line (Wassail) will be here on Monday. On Wednesday of next week, we are getting an order from Creative Imaginations. We're not sure what is coming, but their things are all great!

Basic Grey really is coming. . .

We got an e-mail today saying a package from Basic Grey will be here Monday!! No new things today. We will be ordering from Quickutz tomorrow.

Tuesday night . . .

Don't forget we will close this Saturday at 2:00 and on Monday, October 20, 2008, at 4:30.
We are expecting the Morgan order from October 3rd on Thursday or Friday. We will be ordering soon from Stampin' Station and Quickutz.
All classes for this month are ready for pick up or ready to be put together at the store.
Basic Grey Christmas card classes will be in November. We are expecting the New Christmas line from Basic Grey soon.
Next free crop will be on Friday, October 24, 2008.

The notion's order had glitter paper in black and red, John Deere Stickers, Dora Stickers, Thomas stickers, and more. .
No crop tonight - not enough interest. Several schools have homecoming tonight. I guess lots of folks are busy with football.
Remember- kits for this month (card, recipe, thankful, and fishing) are ready to pick up or put together at the store.
Basic Grey Christmas (Wassail) should be shipping next week.
I will do a basic grey Christmas Card class ( or two) in November. I'll let you know later the exact dates.

Notions orders are here. We now have the buttons to match Basic Grey's 5 newest lines (excluding Wassail which will ship sometime this month). We also have the Granola and Urban Prairie Paper Packs from Basic Grey. Lots of other things came in also. Stop by and see it all!

Tuesday news. . .

I got really energetic on Sunday afternoon and printed the pictures of the fishing mini album. Of course, when I tried to scan it, my scanner wouldn't work. It said, "Scanner error. See documentation." Just exactly what does that mean? I guess I'll have to find my manual.
On the store news. . . the Quickutz and the notions backorder will be here tomorrow. Cornish Heritage Farms (stamps) will be here on Friday. The current Notions order will probably be here on Thursday.
Come in and see what's new! We have a few "I Saw God Today" kits left over, and we have them marked down to 20.00 (originally 25.00). It would make a great Christmas gift and doesn't take long to put together.

Saturday Night Live. . .

The recipes and cards are ready to be picked up for this month if you're ready. Also, if you signed up for the "Thankful" book, it is ready, and you can come anytime and complete it (or pick it up). We still have a few of those left.
This past week we ordered from Quickutz (coming Oct. 8), Cornish Heritage Farms (stamps), Morgan Company, and Notions (should be here Thursday). Come in soon to see these new products. We will order this week from Lasting Impressions.
We're still waiting for the new Christmas packs from Basic Grey. We have a few of the new My Mind's Eye packs of Halloween and Christmas papers left. Sign up now for the Basic Grey Christmas card class scheduled for November.

Life is busy. . .

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. Life is so busy. We had a death in our family (my dad's oldest brother) and have been busy with family things. Also sorry I haven't posted the fishing book. We are now taking names for the waiting list for the fishing book. We almost always get to the waiting list, so don't despair. You still have a chance. We also have spots left in the "Thankful" class. Come in and look at all our new things.
I didn't get the order done today for Morgan Company, so I will be ordering on Friday. Call if we can add anything for you.

Sunday afternoon

ScrapPink is over. We had a great time. I think 10 people cropped --not as
many as we had hoped for, but I'm sure every little bit helps! The winner of the Pink bag and pink supplies was Caren Case of Stevenson! Congratulations!

Fall is here. . .

Hope you're loving this fall weather as much as I am. Perfect weather for the VFW Fair this week in Fort Payne. Be sure to take your kids. I have some great Fair memories. The VFW Fair is the same age I am, and until I got married I never missed a year. I actually haven't missed many since I married.
We're waiting on Basic Grey Christmas, Fancy Pants, and My Mind's Eye.
We've also ordered some beautiful Cosmo Cricket for Christmas. We placed a huge Notions order today. It will probably be here by Thursday.

The Melissa Frances order came today. They sent the embellishments but not the paper. I'm sure it will be here soon. If you ordered a Bind-it-all, it is here. Have you seen the 1 and 1/2 inch wide rick-rack? It's really cute. We are ordering some of it.

It's Monday again

Boy, does time fly! Monday again. We're expecting Melissa Frances, Webster's Pages, and a Morgan Company order all this week. I'll let you know when they're here. Sneak Peek!

October's mini album class will feature Stacie's "Thankful" album highlighting Jenni Bowlin products. This picture (as usual) doesn't do it justice.
Dates will be announced later, but it will be several days in October. Materials for this class will be $20.00. Come in to see the "real thing" complete with pictures of our favorite "little man." We will only do eleven of these, so get your name on the list soon.

Basic Grey has arrived!

Our notions order on Friday included Basic Grey paper collections - Offbeat, Eva, and Ambrosia. Check these out while supplies last. We also have a re-stock of the basic grey file kits. The Crop last night was fun. Ten of us cropped, ate, and talked until almost midnight. The group included some new faces! Welcome! We hope you enjoyed yourself!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. . .

I thought it was Christmas for just a few minutes today. Then I remembered that we have to pay for all this stuff! Wow! Prima came today with probably 15 different packs of flowers, ribbon, page kits, and a mini album. Morgan & Company came with my houndstooth monogrammed purse and more. Stampin' Station arrived with the Henagar Jr. High albums plus re-stock of all the other local schools that we were out of plus stickers and paper for 4 wheeling, camping, fishing. . .
Also, if you ordered the original Bind-it-all, it's here ! Come in and take a look. The Prima won't be here for long. People will grab it up fast!

Product performers here today

The order from Product Performers came today. It included wire for the Bind-it-All and some Teresa Collins travel stamps. We're still hoping to get Prima before the week is over. Call to register for Friday night's Free Crop!

Friday nights in the fall can mean only one thing in every small town (and large for that matter) in the South - Football. Good luck to your team! Win or lose - may they play safe!

New Quickutz

The Quickutz order came today. We have one adaptor left, but we will order again soon. Prima says that they are shipping our product tomorrow. I sure hope so. The new flowers we ordered are beautiful! Ordering from Morgan Company (monogram stuff) tomorrow after lunch. Give me a call in the morning if you need anything.

New Product ordered!

We have now ordered from My Mind's Eye. They have two Halloween and two Christmas lines that are simply gorgeous! They said it would be shipping in a couple of weeks, and we really do want to believe it!! We are waiting for Basic Grey, Webster's Pages, Little Yellow Bicycle, Prima, Fancy Pants, and more that I can't think of right at this moment. Come by and check out our table of projects. You can do these by appointment.

Chicken Tortilla Soup. . .

Hope you had a great Labor Day weekend! Great day at the store today. The "Stevenson Ladies" were there to visit for most of the day. Thanks for the Chicken Tortilla Soup! Family Hauntings

September's mini album will be an accordion album from Rusty Pickle Paper Company called Family Hauntings. The first picture is the cover, and the second one is the front. Materials for this class will be $25.00. Scheduled classes are Saturday, Sept. 6 at 10:00 and Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 10:00.Remember that all classes are by appointment also, so just give us a call and schedule your class at your convenience. We also will ship this kit to you along with color photos of the finished product.

New Creative Imaginations School Line

The new Creative Imaginations school line is gorgeous - of course, I'm still a teacher at heart. We had a great day at the store today with several new customers and some out-of-towners! Rainy days and Mondays

I know we need the rain, but, boy, is it dreary! This is my first time posting a picture. I hope everything works.This is some of the new ribbon from May Arts that came today. It is baby items in pink and blue. You can see the brown teddy bears in the background.
We also got the new paper from Graphic 45. It's neat too.
We will be closed next Monday (9/1) for Labor Day.

On the job

Another great day! Thanks for the comments. We placed a big order with Notions today. More new items from the Blue Awning line (K & Co)and many other things. It's usually here in less than a week. We're about to place another order with Morgan & Company (monogrammed items). Let me know if there is something you want. We filled out our order with My Mind's Eye and will be placing it early next week.

TGIF

It's Friday! (Why am I excited? I work tomorrow.) Small shipment came in today from Morgan & Company - monogramed everything, including flip flops. Come in and see our samples in the display case. Orders take one week! The last weekend in September (26th & 27th) we will host a ScrapPink Event. Crop is free, but we are asking for a $10.00 donation to be sent to the Susan B. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer. Put this date on your calendar! Have a great weekend.

Great day

Great day at the store today! As always, we enjoy visiting with the "Stevenson Ladies" and all of you others who stopped in today. People are grabbing up the Pink Paislee. Come by and look while we still have plenty. Quickutz's new "Chocolate" alphabets came in today. Sissy G. is back in the hospital. We wish her a speedy recovery.

New product has arrived!

Today we received Pink Paislee (beautiful), Daisy D (new Chloe Marie), and our notions order. Tomorrow a small Quickutz order is scheduled to arrive. It's just like Christmas getting all those boxes.
We have also ordered new word books from Heart of Texas Studio including "BAMA," "AUBURN," and "NANA."
